Writing as a Recursive Process

I have learned a lot throughout ENG 122 and 123. Throughout the year, I have been able to direct my learning towards improving upon the essays in which I write. I have the tools that I need in order to successfully write a paper, focusing on all the steps of the writing process. I had my peers review my essay in which I received positive criticism. For this part of the framing statement I have chosen an old worksheet that helped me write an essay. I also was able to annotate in which I have learned from as well. Now I can read a text and be able to pick out the important things that will be relevant when quoting and drafting my essay. Attached below is a sample of an article in which I successfully annotated. I was able to underline the main ideas and topics as well as write a little summary to myself that was useful when writing my essay. I have learned the recursive writing process from the beginning of annotating and highlighting the important pieces of the text, to revising my peer review comments and fixing the mistakes I made in my first draft. I believe that my areas of strength in the recursive writing process would be that I am able to annotate my readings and follow a guideline worksheet that points out and focus’s on the important pieces to the articles.
